This project focused on community engagement and the transfer of knowledge and new skills. I worked with community members from Melkhoutfontein South Africa, finding practical solutions to waste within their community. By connecting with the community I was able to design a process that they could learn, enabling them to make products independently. My work focused on designing and making practical products from waste Tetra Pak cartons, which are not currently recycled within the community.
I connected with the community remotely via Skype, were I led an interactive workshop with members of the community, this was facilitated by Anthea Rossouw from 'Dreamcatcher Foundation' and supported by 'Wiki-waste-workshop'
